At a time when people were being asked to isolate from one another, I saw them seek other types of connections. -

A sunny Sunday in Seaview.

‘ I respond in line and shape to the environment I find myself in at any one time - on the bus or ferry, under an umbrella in a rain shower, staring into the sea, being buzzed by a dragonfly’
Last summer, returning to the Isle of Wight on the Wightlink car ferry, I was lucky enough to come across the HMS Prince Of Wales.
Last weekend was the Classic Car Extravaganza in Ryde.
A Saturday in July like any other.
Suddenly, hundreds, perhaps thousands, of boats.
‘There’s a vibrant and growing cultural sector that is putting the Isle of Wight on the national map and I’m very proud to be part of that.’
There's something magical about sunsets on the island at this time of year.
If you live in Ryde, you probably already know Jo. She has owned and run N°64 Ryde since April 2017.
I must confess I have a soft spot for Ryde Pier.
That’s it, it’s this time of year again, where Christmas starts to be all around.

About Life on the Isle of Wight
French photographer, based on the Isle of Wight, Vincent Dupont-Blackshaw documenting life on this fascinating island.
He has been working as a professional photographer for the past three years. Trained in the arts, his work takes him across the world, seeking stories of new places to share with his audience. From these travels he brings back unique memories of the moments he captures in new places.
Vincent sells his work online and through group exhibitions worldwide. He also has received several awards for his photographs at the British Photography Awards, Annual International Photography Competition (Florida Museum of Photographic Arts), Budapest International Foto Awards, International Photography Awards (IPA), Minimalist Photography Awards, Prix de la Photographie de Paris, San Francisco Bay International Photo Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards.
“I look for moments that are quietly unique. Often an isolated thing or person in an environment that on first glance is ordinary but on second glance tells a subtle story. Light plays an essential part of how I see that story being told, creating a mood and provoking feeling in each image. As a travel photographer, I strive to catch the essence of the place I am in at that exact time. My role is to tell a story of that place for people to connect with.”
For more information on his work, you can visit his portfolio or find him on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn
